Crypto trading bots for Bybit · no code

Build a trading bot. Backtest it. Then let it run.

TakePie turns your trading rules into a bot without code, shows how it would have traded on real Bybit history — fees and funding included — and runs it for you on Demo, Paper or Live.

TakePie is in invite-only alpha. Sign in with your invited email.

How it works

Three steps from an idea to a running bot. You can stop after any of them.

  1. Step 1

Build a strategy — no code

Pick a bot type, signals, exits and coins in the builder. Every field explains itself.

  2. Step 2

    Backtest on real Bybit history

See what your rules would have done: return, drawdown and trades on the chart — after fees, funding and slippage.

  3. Step 3

    Run it as a bot

Start on Demo (Bybit’s demo account, virtual funds) or Paper (our simulator, no exchange account), then go Live with real funds when you’re ready.

Builder

Write rules, not code

Pick Signal, DCA or Grid and fill in a few steps. Every field explains itself, and the Check panel shows, before you save, whether orders fit Bybit’s minimums and what a stop or the worst case would cost.

  • Signal: 12 entry conditions — RSI, price against its SMA or EMA, fast and slow EMA, breakouts and breakdowns, price moves, high-to-low range, falls from a recent high, volume and volatility (ATR)
  • Signal exits: a stop-loss on every rule, plus take-profit and a time exit if you want them
  • DCA builds a position step by step, adding orders as the price moves against it; Grid trades between levels of a price range, with a safety stop
  • Leverage from 1× to 5× for Signal strategies; DCA and Grid use the leverage set for the coin on your Bybit account.
  • Signal coins: a slice of Bybit’s most-traded coins by 24-hour volume, or your own list — minus any you exclude
  • Six timeframes, from 5-minute to daily bars

Backtest

Test it on real Bybit history

A backtest replays your rules on Bybit perpetual futures prices and counts exchange fees, funding and slippage. Nothing in a test is random: the same settings on the same data give the same result, so you can change one thing and see what it did.

  • Backtests use the full price history TakePie keeps for the timeframe — well over a year on daily, 4-hour and hourly bars, less on 5- and 15-minute bars. Coins listed more recently have less.
  • Fees on every entry and exit, funding from historical rates, slippage by exit type
  • Every result lists what the test leaves out: stops on price gaps fill at the stop level plus slippage (real fills can be worse), Bybit’s minimum and maximum order sizes are today’s rather than the period’s, exchange refusals and delays aren’t modeled, every order is assumed to fill in full, and your account’s loss limits don’t apply in tests
  • While it runs, you see each step — queue, candles, simulation, finishing — and how far it got

Result

See what happened, trade by trade

Every backtest opens as one page: 14 stats, the equity curve with its drawdowns, and each trade drawn on the price chart.

  • Net return next to holding BTC, max drawdown, win rate, fees & funding and 10 more
  • Recompute the stats for the last 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, or the whole test
  • By coin, by month, and how trades ended — take-profit, stop-loss, time exit or end of data
  • Compare the equity curve with holding BTC over the same dates

Insights

The weak spots, named

After each backtest the platform reads the whole test and flags what looks fragile — a deep drawdown, a result resting on a few trades, months or coins, fees eating the gains — and links to the builder step that changes it.

  • Each flag shows the fact behind it, not just a verdict
  • It also says what held up, such as steady months or a fast recovery
The Insights panel: flagged risks such as a deep drawdown, each with the fact behind it

Variator

Try many versions at once

Variator reruns a Signal strategy in many versions at once — variations of take-profit, stop-loss, time exit and condition values. Versions with enough trades are checked again on the later part of the test, which wasn’t used to choose them, so a lucky fit stands out.

  • Wide, Narrow or Custom ranges around your own values
  • A map marks each version Strong, Weak or Mixed
  • For Signal strategies; not yet for DCA and Grid
  • Runs per day are limited during the alpha

Assistant

Ask in plain words

The Assistant explains a backtest, points out where it’s weak and suggests settings. “Apply to builder” fills them in — nothing changes until you confirm.

  • Describe an idea in the builder and get settings back
  • Suggested settings apply to Signal strategies
  • It sees the test or the setup you’re editing and the titles of your past chats — never your exchange keys, balances or bots
  • Messages per day are limited during the alpha

Bots & dashboard

Run it, and see the truth

Launch a strategy as a bot on Demo, Paper or Live. If something blocks it — orders too small for a coin, leverage that doesn’t match, orders Bybit refused — the bot page says so and, where it can, offers a fix you confirm in one click.

  • Demo trades on Bybit’s demo account with virtual funds, Paper on our simulator with live prices, Live with real funds
  • P&L as a total, closed trades only, or open positions now
  • Pause all bots at once in the mode you’re viewing

Careful with your money

Keys can’t withdraw

Keys with withdrawal or transfer rights are rejected when you connect them and checked again later.

Stored apart, shown once

Your Bybit API keys, encrypted and kept on a separate, locked-down server. Once saved, a key is never shown again in TakePie.

Limits you set

Account limits cap each coin, the total and the number of open trades, with your account’s daily loss limit. A strategy can carry its own loss limit: once it’s hit, the bot stops opening new trades.

A key without withdrawal rights keeps your balance from being moved off the exchange — not from trading losses. A bot can still lose the money it trades.

FAQ

Which exchange does TakePie work with?

Bybit, perpetual futures. Demo uses Bybit’s demo account with virtual funds; Paper uses our simulator with live prices and needs no exchange account.

Do I need to write code?

No. You pick signals, exits and coins in the builder, and TakePie turns them into a bot. Signal, DCA and Grid bots are available.

How much history can I test on?

Backtests use the full price history TakePie keeps for the timeframe — well over a year on daily, 4-hour and hourly bars, less on 5- and 15-minute bars. Coins listed more recently have less.

How realistic are backtests?

Backtests run on Bybit price history and count exchange fees, funding and slippage. Nothing in a test is random: the same settings on the same data give the same result, so you can change one thing and see what it did. Each result lists what the test leaves out — price gaps, Bybit’s order sizes as they are today rather than back then, exchange refusals and delays, partial fills. A backtest shows how your rules would have behaved in the past — it doesn’t predict the future.

Can TakePie withdraw my funds?

No. Keys with withdrawal or transfer rights are rejected when you connect them. Your API key is stored encrypted and used only to run your bots: read balances and positions, place and manage orders, set leverage and position mode. Create it without withdrawal rights — we never need them. This protects your balance from being moved off the exchange, not from trading losses.

What’s the difference between Demo, Paper and Live?

Demo trades on Bybit’s demo account: real order filling, virtual funds. Paper runs on our simulator with live prices and needs no exchange account. Live trades real funds on your Bybit account.

Who can use TakePie right now?

TakePie is in invite-only alpha. Invited accounts get everything: Demo, Paper and Live.
