What TakePie stores about you, who else sees it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it.

Updated October 20, 2026

What we store

  • Your sign-in e-mail. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see your password.
  • Your Bybit API keys, encrypted and kept on a separate, locked-down server. Once saved, a key is never shown again in TakePie.
  • Trades, orders and balance history of the exchange accounts you connect.
  • Your strategies and backtests.
  • Assistant chats (your questions and the answers).

What we send to third parties

  • Bybit — the orders your bots place and the account reads they need, on your behalf.
  • Clerk — what sign-in needs: your e-mail and sign-in sessions.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — runs the servers where TakePie and the data above are stored.
  • Cloudflare — carries every page and request between your browser and our servers.
  • Anthropic — only when you use the Assistant: your question, the backtest or the builder setup on that page, and — when you ask from the builder — the titles of your recent Assistant chats, and the earlier messages of that chat. Never exchange keys or balances.
  • We don’t sell your data and don’t share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Your data stays while your TakePie account exists.
  • Assistant chats are deleted 90 days after the last message.
  • When you disconnect an exchange account, we stop using its API key at once and erase our stored copy after 30 days. The key itself stays in your Bybit account until you delete it there.

Your controls

  • Disconnect an exchange account on the Exchange Accounts page.
  • Archive strategies you no longer need on the Strategies page. Archived strategies are hidden from your lists but kept; to have them erased, message support.
  • Delete your account in Settings: first stop your bots; we then disconnect your exchange keys right away and erase them, along with your data, within 30 days.
